StreamHeat Industries is excited to announce the upcoming global retail release of OmniKARD by KonnektEd on Monday, August 1st!

OmniKARD (the 2nd generation of the KonnektEd Access Reading Device) is a compact 4G communication and high-speed data transfer device that allows users to interact via satellites, cellular towers or any wireless computer network with all manner of web resources, e-mail, databases, Google Earth and other GPS data, all with miniaturized hardware no bigger than a business card holder. Additional functions include custom-channel device-to-device data, audio and video transfer (like old-school “walkie-talkies”) without the need to dial calls within the custom channel (up to 10 custom channels possible per device, each with up to 12 pre-programmed channel members).

As a definite improvement upon its predecessor’s capalilities, OmniKARD can also transfer communications or data when connection with cellular towers, wireless computer networks or satellites cannot be established, up to a range of about 1.6 km (1 mile).

OmniKARD has an even more intuitive patented graphic user interface and touch screen technology than last year’s KARD. With the purchase of every OmniKARD, registered owners receive full theft recovery service from KonnektEd by means of a unique-ID, secure, closed-circuit anti-theft transmitter in every device. OmniKARD has 2 high-speed USB ports and an effective internal data storage capacity of 1 TB.
